Rainbow after the rain?... not so after all..

It occur to me that there is a popular phrase being used by many people in their msn nick or blogs going by enduring the rain and enjoy the rainbow or something like that. Well to me, this phrase in the midst of encouraging people, somehow made the most essential factor of learning seems unimportant.
From my perspective, the phrase emphasizes on the goal rather than the process and this causes people to just keep chasing for disillusioned things. Thus to them the process is blind folded by the goal in a sense. One thing to note… Not all rainfall will have rainbow after it stops raining. It’s a scientific fact and proven. How often do u see rainbow after it rains in Singapore? Seldom….
Furthermore, why issit endure and not enjoy? I’m sure there are some people who in fact like to walk under the rain if given a chance and provided they will not get sick the next day. So what I meant to say was that why make it seems that the process of obtaining the goal to be of hardship and endurance only? There are many things to learn during the process actually. I think that without understanding the meaning of the process, the goal has no significance in fact other then telling others what u gained. In other term it means that the goal is just a show off to others. Not to offend those people that are using this term but it just doesn’t seems right to me…
Just some thoughts I had in mind.. haha.. Those who had used this phrase, think about it. If u feel that I have thought wrong, feel free to correct me, I’m at all ears.

Play! a Video Game Symphony

If u are wondering what that means, its a orchestra conducted by Arnie Roth. He was the Music Director and Conductor for many of the famous games music and singers such as the famous Final Fantasy. The orchestra was none other then Singapore Festival Orchestra and with the voices of The Vocal Consort and NUS Choir! Bravo to them for the excellent works. I was totally enjoying myself because the music they were playing were non other then the familiar game musics from classic games such as Mario and Sonic the hedgehog to the recent games such as Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts. Moreover the music was enhance with visual displays of various clips of the games while their songs are being played.

Other then that, I was rather surprise to discover some other things. Its usually the guys who initiated to want to go for this live orchestra because I actually over heard the lady saying she didn't know any of these musics haha..

Also, why is the a signal jammer in Esplanade?.. My handphone got totally no signal while inside.. I never notice that when I first went Esplanade for "Singing in the Rain Musical".. so if anything happens, and u are in Esplanade, u'll be the last one to find out haha...

There is also a Blue Dragon game introduction going on at the same time.. so there is this big giant blue dragon there.. I bet its a guy in that because he only make fun of girls.. but issit hot inside? I dun know have to ask him.. but that looks kinda cool being a dragon haha My friend actaully suggested wearing that to go chiong or for some party.. sure an icon.. haha Ladies magnet definitely... here is the pic.. cool right?...

The Most "Vibrative" Ride In My Entire Life

For 20 mins in the bus, I was like sitting on a giant vibrating machine.. imagine ur hp vibrating... and then imagine ur hp is the size of a car and u are sitting in it.. that's how it feels.. throughout the journey, I was like vibrating the whole time.. (that didn't sound quite right... hmmm... but that is the only way to describe it.) In My mind i keep thinking whether the bus gonna explode or wat?.. how come vibrate until so jialet?.. the driver dun know how to change gear? or the gear box got prob?....
The bus is the first version of Air Conditioned Buses that came out after the non aircon buses... If u are old enough to remember.. that's like almost 10 years ago! Why haven't they scrap it? Why issit the seats are so cram.. why issit nowadays the buses seats are so small.. my knee always touches the seat infront... why? Singapoream very short meh? can't they have better designs? I paid to sit lor...

Apologise to those from institute

I didn't meant that those from institute were bad or wat.. just that it was meant solely for my cousin case where by i know if he sucks at studying, so rather he spent 3 years in institute, he might as well spent 3 years go poly... if he is able to make it, then going to uni is still possible.. That's wat i meant.. It like a best route for those unsure of making it into uni.. its up to individual I guess. because wat he and my aunt want is for him to go to uni and at his pace, character, temper, mahjong, can read him like a book... so that's why I said he is not suitable for institute.. Wyd I didn't meant to speak badly about those people from institute haha..

How to reject helping him ah.. its his job lor.. not within my job scope.. and I'm back working in CDC to help my friend and not him!!!!

Entry into singapore uni... Big Deal...

I was bored for the past 2 hrs, read friends blog.. read ST forum about this thing.. so wat's the big fuss?
Well aparently there is this father who was concerned that his daughter did not get into a local uni because of her grades (ABE by the way).. hmmm my cousin grade also like this... So he pointed out
1. why is his daughter being denied when her grades were above average..
2. why is there insufficient allocations for students..
3. what else can her daughter do...

The link(dun know why the Internet explorer in the office sux until some options for blogger is unavailable..)
http://www.straitstimes.com/ST+Forum/Story/STIStory_123758.html?vgnmr=1

Many replied in the forum stating.. oh Singapore uni's admission criterias are rising.. more places means down valuing of certificates.. should try overseas uni.. cohort too big.. blah blah blah.. ok get the point..
Then i also dun know why some how the forum went about talking about NS le.. Guys just like to talk about NS haha.. I know its a torture to gals.. but bo bian.. 2 years serving it is no joke and it is a big impact on guys.. ha..
Well in my opinion.. wah lao eh.. cannot get into local uni nia ma.. not die right... with your mindset about your daughter must get into uni, I think it sure will ahve some pressure on her one lor.. I got that experience before and even now.. sad..
I guess many Singaporean all only know how to walk straight and not venture out into other paths until someone puts the detour sign there.. Lu Shi Zhi De, Ren Shi Huo De, Zou Chu Qu Jiu You Lu.. (The road is straight, people are alive, it is the path that u choose that determines ur destination and not the road...hmm correct interpretation anot ah? haha)
I think many Singaporean likes to nag and complain rather then try to ask for help.. Can't deny I also does such thing.. but did anyone notice this trend? sometimes the most obvious things end up being ignored by many.. (eyes pasted stamp)
Someone told me.. with good grades does not mean u will get the job.. U need personnel skills most importantly. Something like good communication skills is good.. Think it's essential for u to be able to talk during ur interview.. using ur communication skills, charmed ur way thru and make the them it is indispensible to have u working for them... even if u got good grades, but cannot talk, wat's the point? its like hiring an encycopedia lor... encyocopedia still better.. got pictures...
Did anyone notice that maybe it is the uncertainty that not all JC students can get into Uni that actually gave rise to the number of applicants for Polys? Think partially its due to this.. at least after grad from poly u still got diploma..
To my cousin.. Told U so.. Should go Poly Lah.. U go institute for 3 years, might as well go Poly.. better then getting some A level cert and ur results end up like this.. Wah Kao... Wish u all the best to get into SIM....

Do not attempt to go sing K Box after work and especially when u still need to go to work the next day....

Yup U heard me right..
Went AMK (Ang Mo Kio if u really dun know wat does amk stands for...) K box.. it used to be a old cinema.. but I guess no one goes there anymore since its so old... Well, I went home first, only to meet my colleages at around 8pm for K boxing.. Due to the influence of Mayday "Jump" Concert, they are so enthu to sing their songs.. headache and a big mistake... Going back AMK bring backs memories... its been a long time since I went there.. about 4-5 years already.. yah... Old le...
As u can predict, We sang tons of Mayday songs.. but that was the initial part of the session... somehow.. I still dun know wat happened, we ended the session with plenty of oldies like songs from Beyond, Grasshoppers... and there is this disturbing scene in the mtv where 2 of the singers from GrassHoppers were like kissing each other??!! Stuned.. speechless.. ER XIN!! I dun know why the rest of the colleages, mostly females were so excited about it... sad case sia... maybe its just me ba.. I was the youngest in the group for ur info haha.. one colleage was just older then me by 2 days.. so qiao...
From Pop Rock to oldies... we sang about from 8pm to about 1.30 am.. yup that's right.. so late right.. they really think tml we all no need to work lor.. and the waiter serving us ust be wondering if he entered the wrong room anot because when he first came in it was all Mayday.. then towards the end it was (Dun know wat's her name.. very old can le).. the waiter actually turn around to look at the screen to see wat song that is lor.. In his mind he must be think "this song must be as old as my mom" haha..
Reached home at 2am.. the cab fare was cheap lah.. lucky got 2 other colleages stay near me... ha.. but I was so sleepy and tired that after reaching home, straight to my room, change my clothes and tuck into my cosy bed... and the next thing I know.. Its 6 15 am!.. time to go for work le!.. WTH!!!.. I still want to sleep lah.. and my head feels so heavy... and surprisingly I was the first to arrive among the colleages that went KBox yesterday haha.. even when I mention that I wanted to go to work only in the afternoon haha... But I CMI... head is super heavy, especially when there are tons of docu to type... Typing speed: 20 characters per minute.. super the slow wor... lucky no one came to disturb me.. haha I especially rowdy when I'm sleepy or sleeping and u woke me up haha.. U had been WARNED!...
45 more mins to Fang Gong.... Counting down...
